The 利昂县警长’s Office Violent Crime Unit works a wide variety of cases from harassing phone calls, 违反禁令, robberies to death and homicides investigations.

The detectives in the Violent Crime Unit typically have a vast amount of experience gained while working in other units before being moved into this highly specialized unit.  They attend extensive training in a number of areas to supplement their experience.

The 暴力犯罪 Unit works hand in hand with several other specialized units within the Sheriff’s Office, such as the Special Victims Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, 受害者主张s and the 犯罪现场 Unit. They also collaborate very closely with several outside 年龄ncies including the Tallahassee Police Department, surrounding Sheriff’s Offices, 州检察官办公室, 法医办公室, the Florida Department of 执法 (FDLE), Florida Department of Children and Families, 美国联邦调查局, 和ATF.
